Paul Myers (on the left) is passionate about children learning to swim.
Growing up Paul spent his younger years playing many sports and around the ocean. With our country bounded by water and many inland lakes and rivers Paul believes all children should be given the life saving gift of quality swimming lessons.
He has a long history coaching, teaching and working with children and young adults in basketball, football, netball and now swimming. as head coach of Warragul Swimming Club Paul has taken the club from 45 swimmers three years ago to almost 150 today. The team ranges from 6-7 year olds to a squad of swimmers competing at a State and National level.
Having coached swimmers from many learn to swim programs Paul identified the need for quality swimming lessons in the Baw Baw Shire, In conjunction with Dylan Muir (also a dedicated and passionate swimming coach) they have set up Baw Baw Swim School.
The Drouin secondary College pool provides an ideal environment for children to learn with it’s varying depth and longer lanes children are able to progress quickly and spend a larger proportion of their lesson swimming. With small class sizes and no public causing disruptions children are able to focus on attaining new skills quickly.
